TEAM

Internal Product

DURATION

Nov – April 2025 (6 Months)

Brief

During my time at AWS, I contributed to a product initiative under NDA focused on improving internal workflows and customer-facing tools.

My work centered on understanding user needs, analyzing data, and designing solutions that balanced technical feasibility with user experience. While I cannot disclose the exact product details, my responsibilities included gathering cross-functional requirements, prototyping workflows, running user tests, and collaborating with engineers to optimize implementation.

Learning and Growth

This internship was a crash course in product management in a fast-paced, highly technical environment. I learned to approach problems strategically, break down complex workflows, and prioritize features based on impact and feasibility.

A significant part of my growth came from cross-functional collaboration. I regularly engaged with engineers, designers, and internal stakeholders to gather feedback, iterate on prototypes, and align on priorities. Through these interactions, I strengthened my communication and stakeholder management skills, ensuring that proposed solutions were both technically sound and user-centered.

I also enhanced my analytical skills by exploring usage patterns, metrics, and data-driven insights to inform product decisions. This combination of research, design thinking, and iterative testing helped me develop a more holistic view of the product lifecycle, from ideation to deployment.

Takeaways & Skills

This experience solidified my passion for product management and taught me the importance of blending user empathy with analytical rigor.

Overall, the internship reinforced my ability to tackle complex product challenges, communicate effectively across teams, and design solutions that are both user-centric and strategically sound. I appreciated the opportunity for growth and look forward to applying these skills in future roles.
